Joey meets with the Country Weekly staff!

On Wednesday, December 7, Joey ventured to Nashville to meet the folks at Country Weekly, treat them to some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, and perform a 3-song acoustic set in celebration of Joey being selected as one of only eight new artists in the publications annual “What’s Hot for ‘06” feature (Jan. 2 issue; on stands Dec. 19).

Joey, accompanied by guitarist Bryan Austin, performed “I’ll Be Your Whiskey,” “Do It Again,” and “Swinging Door,” her first single, for the captive audience. The following staffers attended Joey’s performance: Bill Gubbins (Ed. In Chief), Larry Holden (Ex. Editor), David Scarlett (Assoc. Editor), Chris Neal (Assoc. Editor), Bob Paxman (Staff Reporter), Jerry Holthouse (Art Director), Lisa Konicki (Photo Ed), Nicole Kopperud (assist. Photo Ed) along with additional CW staffers.
